ECKELSON, N.D. (KFGO) — A 44-year-old Springfield, S.D. man is dead after driving the wrong way on I-94 and crashing head-on into another vehicle.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the other driver, a 74-year-old man from Bismarck, has serious non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a hospital in Valley City before he was transferred to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.
The crash happened just before 1 p.m. Tuesday near Eckelson, between Valley City and Jamestown.
The crash remains under investigation.
